Three side plates in a pale grey-blue, with a scalloped edge and shallow fluting running in from the rim. The glaze is soft rather than glassy, so the colour reads as chalk rather than gloss.
There is no pattern on them at all. That is the reason to own them: a side plate carries bread, or a slice of cake, or the thing you have moved off the main plate, and it does not need to compete. These will sit under anything.
The scallop and the fluting are moulded together in one press, which is why the flutes line up exactly with the scallops on every plate. On cheaper pressed ware they drift.
